My Progress
WEEK 9: UNDERSTANDING BRIEF & ERGONOMICS STUDY
On the first week, as usual I will start off by going through the assignment briefing and MIB to make sure I did not miss out any important details. Following that, I proceed to look into my project 2 model, as stated in the brief, I am required to relate and seek for reoccurring elements or principles. After I had done a thorough analysis on my isolation structure, I proceed to capture picture from different perspectives in different spaces to have a better understanding of my space.
Pictures taken from Project 2 one-to-one scaled structure.
I start off the assignment by getting a full body measurement as detailed and accurate as possible to ensure the final outcome of my model will fit. And then I proceed to pick a banel action that I’m comfortable with for each stage. I have decided to have 3 different stages from mostly restricted movements such as sitting and crouching towards more free such as running and walking.

WEEK 10: DESIGN NARRATIVES
During week 6, I am satisfied the amount of measurements I gathered and ready to start off my assignment. I anticipate and accommodate my wants and emotions during the epidemic to create a spatially sensory experience in your design. It is important to identify my emotions for each stage because the constriction of each stage will be based on that, hence, I created mind map that shows the progress of my emotions throughout the pandemic.

I also break down the design concepts into 3 stages and roughly input the characteristics and traits for each stage.
WEEK 11: CONDUCTING MATERIAL STUDY
On week 11, I start to look into the characteristics and advantages of each material. I look into mainly timber and steel as they are not only strong and durable, they can also be easily modified. As I continue my research on materials, I came across the Serpentine Pavilion designed by Frank Gehry which combined both timber and steel as the building’s structure. on the construction requirement.
My research on timber and steel and how it can be used both at once.
WEEK 12 : DESIGNING TATTOO STAMPS
I’ve decided to create tattoo stamps based on line and repetition. It is actually a series of squares interlocking with each other. The squares were coloured in dark alternatively to further emphasis the repeating of elements. The next tattoo is an ergonomic tattoo where it shows a unique angle of two puppets sitting inside an enclosed space formed by lines. The third tattoo stamp is something similar to the first one which is also made out of square, but it gives off a more equal and united feeling. And the next being lines gathering together at random sequence, strokes, and thickness resembling the model.

WEEK 13 : COMPLETION OF MODEL
Week 13 is a crucial week mainly because there are more drawings that are needed to be completed. With that in mind, I immediately proceed with the construction of my model. The arrangement of the model itself is especially hard because of the difference in height and width for each blocks.
The material that I picked to construct my model is balsa wood and bamboo sticks. Balsa wood is light and can be easily cut with a craft knife. The only problem is balsa wood might be a good crafting material for model making but its colour does not reflect back to steel. Therefore, I decide to spray paint it white to give it a more clean and smooth look.

WEEK 14 : ORTHOGRAPHIC DRAWINGS
Week 14 was a much relaxing week since the final model is completed. I can direct my focus solely on drawings. There are 3 different stages for the floor plan so I proceed to break it down into 3 parts also. Then I proceed with my two elevations and one section with human figures beside based on my body measurement.

The Outcome
My theme for my structure is Unity in Separation where I utilised the spaces within a square cube and create different stages to represent my experience and feelings in this pandemic. Other than that, this assignment also requires extreme precision and to be mindful of all measurements in order to produce an accurate drawing. Overall this assignment gave me a lot of knowledge on how to produce technical drawings based on scaled model.
My Reflection

1. Intrapersonal Skills
I was able to properly organised my time schedule based on the workload. I felt that I became better at time management since I am ahead of the schedule. With that being said, I was able to double check for mistakes and maintain a healthy emotional status.
2. Lifelong Learning
Throughout the assignment, I was able to gain new and extra knowledge regarding technical drawing skills especially orthographic drawing. Not only that, I were to stay focus and be picky on every little details and measurements to ensure a satisfying outcome. This assignment definitely opened my eyes and I am glad to take in new knowledge that could possibly be useful and help me in the future.
3. Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
This assignment definitely challenged my thinking skill since there so many annotations and new symbols that are needed to be included in the orthographic drawings. This definitely gave a tough time to keep things neat while also being able to include all informations. I also have to figure out a solution to conduct my abstract drawings since I was never introduce to it before.
