Architecture & Environment
Architecture and Environmental Studies are natural companions. It is impossible to design good buildings without understanding their relationship to natural systems. It is also impossible to understand the natural environment without knowing how human intervention affects it – both positively and negatively.
In this module, students will be introduced to basic environmental awareness through lectures and discussions. Additionally the module introduces students to the basic elements of climate and their influences on architecture, which aims to facilitate students to create acceptable environmentally conscious and comfortable building designs. This module is led by lecturer Ms Suja and tutor Mr Bruce that consists 2 assignments throughout 1.5 semester.
