This module aims to introduce students to the basics of producing orthographic drawings by hand and relate it to the built environment. This module is led by Mr Akmar Nordin and consists 3 assignments throughout 15 weeks. At the end of the semester, students would be able to understand technical drawings used in the construction industry and being able to design and understand 3D spaces that have been translated onto paper as 2D drawings.
Spatial design is a relatively new conceptual design discipline that crosses the boundaries of traditional design specialisms such as architecture, landscape architecture, landscape design, interior design and service design as well as certain areas of public art.
It focuses upon the flow of people between multiple areas of interior and exterior environments and delivers value and understanding in spaces across both the private and public realm. The emphasis of the discipline is upon working with people and space.
