ASSIGNMENT 1(A) - 

NATURE JOURNAL

TASK

In this assignment, I was given the task to watch a nature documentary "Earth" from 2007 and make a nature dialogue based on the documentary.

 

I was required to present factual information, personal experiences, observation and thought on floras, faunas, settings, nature phenomena, etc.

​

Through the documentary, I was able to stay concentrated and jot down important factors that can be useful for my dialogue. I also learnt to arrange my layout creatively and keep the dialogue in an infographic format. I was also able to sharpened my colouring skill with colour pencil as my main medium.

ASSIGNMENT 1(B) - 

NATURE DIALOGUE

TASK

In this assignment, each group were assigned a natural setting to discuss on.

​

The task requires the group to talk about scientific facts, characteristics, adaptations, positive/negative impacts of human activities as well as ideas to overcome the issues. Not only does the group have to do in-depth research on the assigned natural setting, we were also required to record it in a discussion manner, with infographics to support our statements.

​

This assignment was an opportunity for us to work on our video editing skill using all sorts of media such as iMovie and Adobe. We must also come up with a storyboard and script that does not exceed the time given for the video presentation. We also include short slides and statistics to support our idea.

ASSIGNMENT 2(A) - 

MY "X" HOMETOWN

TASK

In this assignment, I was required to show my understanding on the different elements of the built environment by making a pamphlet covering the tangible and intangible components of my hometown. 

​

I have to analyse and investigate on various aspects such as building typology, road circulation, facilities, softscapes, safety, sense of place and many more.

​

I have to then compile the informations that I gathered and arranged it in an infographic manner instead of long paragraphs. I am also required to zoom in and breakdown the aspects as detailed as possible.

ASSIGNMENT 2(B) - 

INVESTIGATION OF URBAN SPACE

TASK

For the last assignment of out module, We worked in groups of 5. There were two parts to this assignment.

​

For part A, we were to show our understanding on the differences between urban, suburban and rural area by conducting an investigation on different areas for each category. To compare the three areas from the topography, population, building typography, infrastructure and lifestyle by using infographic methods.

​

For part B, our group was assgined to carry out site analysis on Varoshaza Park, located adjacent to the Deák Ferenc metro station and a bus stop. Other than basic topics such as zoning, street circulation, softscapes, and many more, we were required to use sketch up to zoom in on the park and come up with our idea on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while visitors are still allow to carry out activities in the park.

All of the information were to fit in 2 A2 size posters on canvas.
